Música Camerata Montréal invites you to discover the Music of the Americas
For the last concert of the 49th season, May 18th at 6pm, at la Chapelle Historique du Bon Pasteur, Musica Camerata Montreal, one of Canada’s foremost chamber music ensembles invites you to discover some of the most significant works by composers of the American continent.
This program will charm everybody and will apply to the taste of all contemporary audiences. The sounds and rhythms of the Imaginary Gallery for cello and piano (Canadian première), the heat of cuban sounds, the sensuality and passion of Argentinian tango and its master: Astor Piazzolla, considered as one of the most important and innovative composers of the second half of the XX century. On the same program a quintet by the Canadian-Swiss composer Anne Lauber and the splendid Lullaby by Gershwin..

Música Camerata Montréal
Since its debut in 1971, Musica Camerata Montréal, hailed as one of Canada’s foremost chamber music ensembles, offers programs of rare originality, and has devoted much of its energy to promoting the music of Canadian composers. Musica Camerata’s repertoire includes more than 350 works from the 18th to the 21st centuries. On tour, Camerata has given many concerts in Canada, USA, Costa Rica and Argentina, always to high critical praise.
